Overview
Cooperating teachers maintain professional supervision for the educational process and model a variety of effective teaching strategies and methods in an atmosphere conducive to learning, experimentation, and risk taking.
Mentoring and Resources
The education department at ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ believes that students learn to be teachers not just in the ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ classroom, but also by engaging in multiple field placements in area public schools.The culminating field placement, the ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ Teacher Scholars practicum, allows our students to spend fourteen weeks in a classroom full-time, first observing, then working alongside, and finally assuming responsibility for three of a cooperating teacher's classes.
