2025–2026 Academic Year Course Auditing
Auditing is available to community members for the 2025–2026 academic year. Please read the following information carefully to ensure a smooth course registration experience.

Course Auditing Process for Community Members
- Registration Opens: August 7 at 9:00 a.m.
- Course Selection: Choose from a pre-approved list of courses available for auditing.
- Submit Form: The completed online registration form will be sent automatically to the registrar’s office. *Form available August 7 at 9:00a.m.
- Confirmation: Auditors will receive a confirmation of their course registration within 24 hours. This will include a link to set up the appointment described below.
- Registration Closes: August 14 at 5:00 p.m.
- The entire registration process is conducted online; no in-person registration is available.
- Auditors may not contact faculty directly about auditing courses.
- Course slots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Auditors are limited to one course per semester.
- Course auditing is $70 for Friends of ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ and $100 for other community members.
NEW: Mandatory Technology Set-Up Appointment
All approved auditors must schedule a 30-minute technology set-up appointment for one of the following dates:
- August 26
- August 27
- August 28
- August 29
During the appointment, auditors will:
- Get set up in ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿’s software systems (e.g., Okta Verify, Canvas, course materials access)
- Activate their ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ email account
- Receive their ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ OneCard
Important: Please bring the device you intend to use for accessing course materials.Please note: if you do not attend this appointment, you will not be able to audit a class. These appointments may only be rescheduled if there are still timeslots available and there will be no additional appointments offered.
Course Auditing Process for ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ Students, ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ Employees, ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ Employee Spouses, and High School Students
Current ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ students, ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ employees, ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ employee spouses, and high school students must register directly through the Registrar’s Office.
- Registration Opens: August 7 at 9:00 a.m.
- Course Selection: Choose the course you would like to audit.
- If you are a ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ employee or spouse, please choose your course from our preapproved list.
- High school and ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ students may choose from the full course offerings, as long as they have instructor permission to join the course.
- Submit Form: Email your completed Course Auditing Enrollment Form to registrar@bowdoin.edu.
